Big Island – Star gazing

Big Island – Star gazing

Yesterday we had a fairly quiet day: doing our laundry for the first time, and lying on the small beach next to our hotel, reading a book. In the evening we went to the visitor’s centre of the Mauna Kea Observatories, to look at the stars. The view was excellent and the ranger did a fun briefing, showing constellations with a laser pointer. Today we visited Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park before flying to Maui. Thanks to Go! Airlines we actually made it there, after the bastards at Pacific Wings had cancelled our flight without telling us!
