Australia – Camping on the Coral Coast

IMG 7145After spending 5 days in our little camper I am starting to recover from my camping depression. After all, it’s a lot like sleeping in a motel, except it’s a lot more uncomfortable. That did not deter us from seeing a fair part of Western Australia, though. From Dongara we went to Kalbarri, where we visited the beautiful National Park with red cliffs on the coast and the Murchison River gorges inland. In Shark Bay we visited (and fed!) the dolphins at the famous Monkey Mia resort, before traveling further North to Carnarvon. Although we must have missed a dreadful downpour last weekend (300 mm of rain in 2 days), it’s raining now as well and Carnarvon doesn’t seem all that. Hopefully it will be better when we reach Coral Bay tomorrow.
