Riding a helicopter is always fun. That we already knew… But riding a helicopter over a volcano, and one that has real flowing, orange glowing, lava flows, is indescribable… It’s one of those ‘once in a lifetime’ experiences you will never forget. Something you’ve only seen on the tele but now something you’ve actually witnessed in real life. ‘Wow’ was all we could say at each other when the headsets came off after the heli had safely landed after a 50 minute flight that took us to some of the volcanic highlights on the Big Island. It would almost make us forget the great waterfalls we saw earlier and the nice scenic route we took to get to Kona on the other side of the island where we will be staying the next couple of days…
